Part One (1) of (so far 4) Four Galleries of a trip to the West Coast I did with three friends in 1973. Here seen is the first day we stopped, 9 July to 20 days later, 29 July 1973, not even mid trip. PA, IA, SD, CO, UT, NM, AZ, NV, CA.

Yosemite National Park in 1973. Photos taken starting July 29 as we entered the park until, so far in the gallery, 1 August at Young Lakes with a backpacking hike into Yosemite Wilderness. There are more images to post.

Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. Photos of two of the three bands who played there on the night of August 10, 1973. Robin Trower and Poco are the two bands seen here. Marc-Almond opened but I wasn't ready to shoot yet. Film use was carefully metered too. Just so many frames of high speed Ektachrome for this 10 week adventure were available.

A smattering of images from my 1973 summer long road trip. It starts from New England to the mid West Coast via mountains, canyons and deserts, up to Vancouver and back through Canada ending on the coast of Maine. More images from this 10 weeks of 18 National Parks, some cities and a lot of miscellaneous back country will be added along the way.
