39 imagesMore photos from before The Grateful Dead Concert at Englishtown, September 3, 1977 in Old Town New Jersey. These I shot while walking from our cars to inside the venue, Raceway Park. Basically random shots of the crowd. These are all Kodachrome slides with tons of detail. Numbers 23-26 are of my friends being accosted by a t-shirt dealer, etc. Couple of shots of the Stage and Equipment as well. Enjoy. #22 is shown full frame and with three cropped versions. Same with # 18, 21, 33 and 34, various tighter crops to see the crowds. -
15 imagesThe Labor Day weekend Grateful Dead Concert, 3 September 1977 at Raceway Park, Englishtown, New Jersey. Slides shot during the afternoon are now only shown in the adjacent gallery. These are the 'best I could do' nighttime performance shots, a sound tower shot plus Candace and John Scher announcing the band. My friends and I were taping so I was stuck in place. Maybe I was in too trippy a mood to deal with forcing my way up closer. Yes, I am sure of that.
