In 1973 Four Friends took the summer off and went camping from July 8th to after Labor Day. This is an incomplete gallery of photos taken in the Road Trip. Ultimately there will be photos from CT to CA through the American West and then up the west coast to Vancouver then across Canada to Maine and eventually back to CT.

One half a roll of Kodachrome and one day in New York City. The 25th of February 1976. Brooklyn and Manhattan images capturing the special light of that day. Including Midtown, Central Park and Greenwich Village they are all shot on Kodachrome film, scanned by Nikon LS40 with special attention to preserving color and light. Some images are full frame including the slide mount edges and others slightly cropped.

Coastal Maine, specifically the Town of South Harpswell and surrounds. A collection of somewhat random images, including geology, architecture, wildlife, weather and details of daily life. The photographer has been visiting this area for 40 years. There is a wealth of film images captured here since the early 70's that will someday be added to this gallery. For now only recent digital images are displayed and will be adding more as they are edited.

While shooting stock in California last May I decided to dust off my old Rolleiflex TLR camera and try out the new Kodak Ektar 100 120 format film. Take note the three cropped detail images. The enlargability of this film is outstanding and the scanner seems to love it. A natural looking scan did not take very long to achieve. The reason's I loved the Ektar 125 of the early 1990's is still here in this version. I think the film is amazing and will be shooting more of this emulsion when time, subject & the fit of it's particular properties merge. Scanner: Epson V750 pro.

Three Kodachrome Slides shot at Wounded Knee, South Dakota on July 11, 1973 a little over two months after the end of a 71 day siege, occupation and armed conflict. Wounded Knee town is located on The Pine Ridge reservation. The marked up testimonial board is viewed on both sides and the burned out church on the hill is shown. More information:

One World Trade Center at Dusk. May 20, 2015. Shot with the Hasselblad Stellar One camera. This is a building that dances with light just as the old WTC used to do, but does it even better. Weather, light and the neighboring buildings all come together to create remarkable visuals that are never the same twice. Photos taken here between 7:58 and 8:37pm just after the final David Letterman show.
