The Grateful Dead Live at Dillon Stadium, Hartford, CT Wednesday 31 July 1974. This year the Band traveled with the Wall of Sound in it's reduced size road show configuration. Here for your viewing pleasure - all my photography of this show - The Grateful Dead performing, the stage, rigging, lights and sound systems from afar and about 100 feet from the stage. Many include great detail of the crowd.
Seen here - The crowd outside the gates waiting, inside the stadium milling around, roadies setting up, Wall of Sound and gear shots, The Dead playing the first set early on, in daylight and later under Candace Lights. Four rolls of film were shot and every good image I captured at this show is here.
Custom made Prints are available of all these photographs. Pricing depends on the subject. Crowd, Roadies and Gear shots from 35mm film are not considered 'limited edition' prints though will be signed but not numbered and have a different pricing structure. Square images - Hasselblad camera captures - will not be cropped unless requested and are limited edition images. Additional print sizes are on the way for square format images. If your confused, give me a call. It is confusing. Also, Silver Gelatine Prints of any B&W image can be ordered. Contact me regarding available papers, sizes, the cost and my darkroom schedule.
At the tail end of this gallery are 13 great photographs - close photos of Jerry that I couldn't get from where I was - shot by my great friend Mike Thut. You can place a print order here for Mike and he will custom print and ship to you personally. You can find him at www.terrapinstudio.com
