The Grateful Dead play the New Haven Coliseum for the first time on the 5th of May 1977. These are restored images from my archives. Some images are of what I originally considered fail shots. Artistic liberty and digital processing gives them a new life. Except for the last 3 shots, outside before the show and the inside shot of the Coliseum interior, all are from one roll of Kodak EPT slide film pushed 2.5 stops, which is extreme to push slide film. Two things happened when I did that: 1) you saw more of what was In the Dark 2) you got tons more grain (now known as noise, but exactly the same thing). Enjoy !
